The UAE has reached a new milestone in autonomous aviation as LODD Autonomous's Hili becomes the first autonomous cargo aircraft in the Arab world to enter formal civil aviation certification. Developed and engineered in Abu Dhabi, the hybrid VTOL aircraft is designed to carry payloads of up to 250 kg over 700 km. The certification programme with the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) marks a key step toward future commercial cargo operations across logistics, healthcare and humanitarian sectors.
