#FirstImpressions “As a lawyer working as a data privacy consultant, I often felt that I could contribute more meaningfully with a stronger understanding of business, rather than just a substantive understanding of law and regulation. That desire to broaden my perspective and enrich my legal knowledge with business acumen brought me to ISB. Ultimately, I aspire to be a generalist with a law degree rather than just a lawyer. Less of a pivot, and more of an expansion of what I already do.   At the end of O-Week, I remember feeling like, “This was the most challenging week of my life, in the best way possible.” Little did I know that Term 1 would be even more demanding.   From going back to class and studying after years, to having every 15 minutes accounted for by a different activity, I realised that ISB helps you grow by placing you in a highly structured environment with some of the sharpest minds in the country from the most diverse backgrounds.
