Do you live or work in an apartment building, strata scheme, retirement village, or caravan park? You may receive electricity, gas, hot water or centralised air-conditioning through an embedded network. From 1 July 2026, new NSW Government reforms give embedded network customers more protection. Embedded network sellers need to publish clear information on their website, including: • the services they provide • the prices they charge • where they supply those services • energy efficiency information, if they provide centralised air-conditioning. Sellers must also join the Energy & Water Ombudsman NSW, or EWON, so customers can access free, independent help with disputes. IPART will monitor sellers’ compliance with these requirements from 1 July 2026. IPART is also consulting in July on future rules for customer bills, maximum prices and when these requirements start. Feedback is welcome until 31 July 2026: https://lnkd.in/gGqe_85k
