Today it's #SocialMobilityDay, and we're proud to be an organisation working towards a future where everyone can pursue their dream careers in STEM, regardless of background. This year's theme is #StoriesMatter, so we want to tell you Daniel's story, as it's exactly the kind of journey we want to celebrate! 📖 Growing up in a rural town and having left school at 16, Daniel's route into education was different from lots of his peers, and he struggled to gain relevant research experience at his university. #In2research provided him with confidence in the lab, as well as application support from his mentor, and he went on to successfully secure a PhD at the University of Glasgow! 👏 Read Daniel's story in full over on our blog 👉 https://lnkd.in/ejGpB8wQ A big thank you to In2scienceUK volunteer Professor Ross Forgan and our partners at DiveIn CDT for making Daniel's placement possible!
