Our team just wrapped a great week at Becker's Healthcare 16th Annual Meeting! One takeaway from our roundtable, highlighted by Mark Batchelor, really stood out. Healthcare still struggles to answer a basic question: Who is accessing our systems right now, and can we be sure it’s really them? SSO and tap-and-go have transformed access - but in complex, shared environments and with rising identity-based threats, traditional authentication alone is no longer enough to provide high assurance. As Claire Reilly RN, MSc put it, the challenge in healthcare isn’t whether the technology works in theory - it’s whether it works in a crowded, shared, high-pressure clinical environment. We also heard: ➡️High assurance is still a gap - organizations can see who logged in, but can’t always prove it’s truly that user ➡️Traditional MFA can introduce too much friction for fast-moving clinical workflows ➡️Today, security often follows an “allow, but monitor” mode - the opportunity is making that monitoring real-time, intelligent, and actionable ➡️What’s emerging is a shift beyond just enabling access - toward continuously monitoring access events to assess risk and adapt authentication requirements in real time. Healthcare security isn’t about adding more controls. It’s about making them smarter. We’re digging deeper into these challenges and the power of Advanced and Passwordless Access in addressing them in our webinar on April 30th. 👉We’d love for you to join us: https://ow.ly/KLnY50YLayO
