Imperative is hiring a Senior Legal Counsel for the AcClima Amazonia Project in the Peruvian Amazon. AcClima Amazonia is a high-quality carbon project in Madre de Dios — a silvopastoral and native-rainforest reforestation model transitioning cattle-ranching land to regenerative use, with biodiversity and community co-benefits. The role owns: — Landowner enrolment due diligence (SUNARP, surface rights, title) — Contract negotiation across landowners, contractors, and regulators — Compliance across SERNANP, ANA, SERFOR, and Peruvian labour law — Legal sign-off on permits and project finance documentation Based in Puerto Maldonado or Lima, with field travel. Reports to the Project Manager, Peru; functional line to Group Senior Legal Counsel (Singapore). Looking for candidates with 5–8 years experience in Peru, fluent in Spanish and English, as well as track record in contract negotiation and Peruvian registry or land law.
