It's #DiabetesAwarenessWeek in the UK. This week highlights the importance of diabetes awareness, prevention, and different options for managing a lifelong condition. We're working on a new approach to treat type 1 diabetes – one that aims to protect insulin-producing cells from immune system attack, rather than just managing blood sugar levels.
