📢 On June 15, IMDEA Energy will hold a new session of its Seminar for Newcomers. This session will feature three researchers whose work addresses key challenges in the energy transition: 🔹 Pedro Gerber Machado (Systems Analysis Unit) “𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘋𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘊𝘶𝘳𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘎𝘭𝘰𝘣𝘢𝘭 𝘌𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘨𝘺: 𝘈𝘯 𝘌𝘮𝘱𝘪𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭 𝘈𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘺𝘴𝘪𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘌𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘨𝘺 𝘚𝘶𝘱𝘱𝘭𝘺 𝘛𝘳𝘢𝘫𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘴”. Pedro's research focuses on the sustainability assessment of energy systems, including hydrogen, sustainable aviation fuels, and other emerging energy technologies. 🔹 Laura Pastor Muñoz (Electrochemical Processes Unit - IMDEA Energy) “𝘙𝘦𝘴𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘤𝘩 𝘉𝘢𝘤𝘬𝘨𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥 & 𝘍𝘶𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘋𝘪𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴”. Laura works on advanced energy storage technologies, particularly redox flow batteries, with expertise in organic electroactive materials and innovative battery concepts. 🔹 David López Iglesias (Electrochemical Processes Unit - IMDEA Energy) “𝘍𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘋𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘭𝘰𝘱𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘝𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘥𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯: 𝘗𝘦𝘳𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘈𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘌𝘭𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘮𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭 𝘋𝘦𝘷𝘪𝘤𝘦𝘴”. David's research focuses on the electrochemical evaluation of emerging technologies and battery ageing under real-world operating conditions.
