IMD President David Bach recently attended the AIB Annual Meeting in Manchester to accept the 2026 AIB International Educator of the Year Award.   Presented annually by the Academy of International Business (AIB), this prestigious award honors those who inspire learning, support outstanding teaching and research, and create innovative programs, internships and international collaborations.   During his acceptance speech, Bach spoke of the changing face of globalization, highlighting business education’s role in preparing a generation of managers to lead global enterprises and equipping them with the tools to drive efficiency and scale, the primary focus of the previous iteration of globalization.   But with security and resilience coming to the fore, the focus needs to shift from economic to political considerations. Bach reinforced the critical role business schools must play in guiding leaders as they navigate a complex, volatile political climate.   In closing, Bach shared three threads he sees as essential for management education that is future-ready and relevant in an increasingly fragmented landscape - that it is: 🌎 Global in its approach, 💡 Innovative in its delivery, and 🎯 Focused on its impact.   #IMDImpact #ManagementEducation #AIB2026Manchester
