Franklin Cudjoe: Azumah-E&P Dispute Is Becoming "Untidy and Tedious" President of IMANI Africa, Franklin Cudjoe, has called on the Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, to urgently facilitate a resolution to the ongoing dispute between Azumah Resources Limited and ENGINEERS & PLANNERS CO. LTD. (E&P) over the Black Volta Gold Project. In an open letter shared on Facebook, Mr Cudjoe questioned why earlier efforts to resolve the disagreement had failed, allowing the matter to escalate to international arbitration, and warned that the prolonged dispute risks undermining investor confidence and fairness in Ghana's mining sector. He emphasised: ๐ธ The need for the Lands Ministry to facilitate a timely and fair resolution. ๐ธ Concerns over the escalation of the dispute to international arbitration. ๐ธ The importance of equitable partnerships and transparent investment practices. ๐ธ Stronger support for meaningful Ghanaian participation in the country's mining industry. โFrankly, the current situation is becoming untidy and, I daresay, tedious.โ Mr Cudjoe argued that resolving the matter fairly would strengthen confidence in Ghana's investment climate while reinforcing opportunities for capable indigenous companies to participate meaningfully in the mining sector.
