His mystic lens on humanity has strongly influenced our approach to sound healing and soul development. He grounded a revolutionary heart-based approach to psychoanalyis, pioneering dream analysis and giving us the concept of introversion versus extroversion, individuation, the collective unconscious, synchronicity, archetypes, and so much more. He noticed that myths and fairytales from all kinds of different cultures have certain similarities, calling them archetypes, representing universal patterns of the collective unconscious we all share. He came to believe that archetypes are all facets of our own selves, and we must embrace them — even the villainous ones — to be truly whole. What we don’t embrace we project sideways onto others, as a sort of last-ditch unconscious attempt at truly meeting ourselves. What abandoned aspects of you can you meet and embrace today?
