Now the conversation is shifting toward understanding the efficiency of actual computing work, from chip-level energy use through to broader power resilience across infrastructure systems. The emerging metrics are still evolving, but the direction is clear: AI-scale environments will require far more granular ways of measuring performance, energy use and operational risk.
