Stretching 450 km from the Arabian Gulf in Jubail to the heart of Riyadh, this groundbreaking project set global benchmarks for scale and technical achievement. This was a fully pressurized, long-distance pipeline capable of delivering desalinated water over 450 km without exposure to air. This innovation marked a global engineering milestone and showcased ILFโ€™s pioneering capabilities in large-scale water infrastructure. By 1983, under ILFโ€™s role as Ownerโ€™s Engineer, the system was commissioned in a ceremony under the patronage of King Fahd bin Abdulaziz Al Saud (PBUH) โ€” marking a defining moment in Saudi Arabiaโ€™s water infrastructure journey. ๐—™๐—ฟ๐—ผ๐—บ ๐—ฎ ๐—Ÿ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ๐—บ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ธ ๐—•๐—ฒ๐—ด๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ป๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด ๐˜๐—ผ ๐—ฎ ๐—ก๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป๐˜„๐—ถ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ ๐—œ๐—บ๐—ฝ๐—ฎ๐—ฐ๐˜ Since that first milestone, ILF has contributed to the design, engineering, and supervision of 11 major transmission pipelines, delivering 4 million cubic meters of desalinated water per day from Jubail and Ras Al Khair to Riyadh โ€” a feat achieved through collaboration across ILF Consulting Engineers in Saudi Arabia, ILF Consulting Engineers in Austria, and ILF Consulting Engineers in Germany. Eastern Cluster: Consulting on 13 ongoing NWC projects to enhance water quality in Dammam, Khobar, Jubail, and Al-Hasa.
