#IITDelhi and 18 NITs Join Hands to Advance Academic Excellence, Research, and Innovation IIT Delhi has announced the launch of a landmark national academic and research collaboration network through the signing of MoUs with 18 National Institutes of Technology (NITs) across the country. The initiative aims to create a robust ecosystem for academic excellence, innovation, research collaboration, and talent development in alignment with the vision of the National Education Policy (#NEP) 2020. The IIT Delhi-NIT collaboration network was launched at an event held at IIT Delhi on June 04, 2026, in the presence of Ms. Saumya Gupta, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Education, Government of India (joined virtually); #NIT Directors; Director of IIT Delhi, Prof. Rangan Banerjee; and several other senior functionaries of the Institute. The 18 partner institutions include National Institute Of Technology Sikkim, National Institute of Technology Meghalaya, National Institute of Technology Silchar, National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur, National Institute of Technology Rourkela, National Institute of Technology Raipur, Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT), Nagpur, Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat, Malaviya National Institute of Technology Jaipur, Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT), Bhopal, Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT), Allahabad, NIT Kurukshetra, National Institute of Technology Srinagar, NIT Tiruchirappalli, National Institute of Technology Calicut, National Institute of Technology Warangal, National Institute of Technology Karnataka and Dr. B.
