Tokyo was buzzing with IITM energy. The IITMAA Japan Chapter Annual Meet 2026 brought together alumni from across Japan for an evening of conversations that spanned technology, innovation, public policy, and the journeys that connect us long after graduation. We were privileged to hear from Dr. Yashawant Dev Panwar, Srikrishnan Chitoor (BTCS '91), and KE Seetha Ram, Dr. Eng. (BTME '84), whose experiences—from science and AI to high-speed rail and global infrastructure—offered fresh perspectives and sparked engaging discussions. But some of the best conversations happened away from the podium. Old friends caught up after years, new alumni found a welcoming community, ideas were exchanged over dinner, and conversations continued well into the evening.
