What can records produced by the Lisbon Inquisition and the Lisbon Ecclesiastical Chamber tell us about the life trajectories of enslaved and freed individuals? In her talk Patricia Souza de Faria discusses what information the sources can provide about their marriage arrangements and the social networks they built up as a minority group in the city.
