It is not only in Gaza that an ethnic group is being systematically destroyed; the civil war in Sudan also bears the hallmarks of genocide. These atrocities cannot take place without the support of other countries, groups or organisations. Economic interests often play a central role. Due to Sudan’s rich natural resources, the United Arab Emirates is providing support to the Rapid Support Forces, a paramilitary group that is carrying out a coordinated campaign of destruction against non-Arab communities. In Palestine, companies from a wide range of sectors, including the technology, raw materials and energy sectors, are supporting Israel’s crimes against the Palestinians. In this lecture, journalist Mohammed Abdulhamid Abdulrahman will discuss the political situation in Sudan. Lydia de Leeuw (SOMO) will then provide insight into the role and responsibility of companies in relation to Israel’s crimes against the Palestinians. 📅 16 April 2026 🕓 16:00 📍 IISG, Cruquiusweg 31, Amsterdam 🔗 https://lnkd.in/ehT6sYKc
