Building AI without borders—while keeping data sovereign. We're proud to see BharatGen, India's flagship multilingual and multimodal generative AI initiative, join Project Tapestry, a global consortium that is redefining how nations collaborate on artificial intelligence. Launched last month, the consortium brings together leading AI organisations from the US, France, India, Vietnam, Japan, Switzerland and the UAE to collaboratively develop AI models without centralising data ownership. By enabling countries to build AI together while keeping data within their own jurisdictions, Project Tapestry aims to advance secure, interoperable and trustworthy AI at a global scale. As a key partner in the BharatGen consortium, International Institute of Information Technology Hyderabad (IIITH) is proud of the contributions being led by Prof. Ravi Kiran S. and his team in advancing multilingual, multimodal foundation models for India. Their work is helping ensure that Indian languages, datasets and AI capabilities are represented in the next generation of globally collaborative AI systems. Read more: https://lnkd.in/gXeswVYr
