How can education contribute to a reduction in child marriage❓ During the first quarter of 2026, the Community of Practice in Gender Transformative Education #CPGTE, facilitated by IIEP-UNESCO, dedicated a thematic cycle to educational planning as a tool to prevent child marriage.   Through discussion forums, peer-to-peer exchanges, and a webinar with Plan International, African Union International Center for Girls & Women's Education in Africa, and the Gufasha Girls Foundation, members of the CPGTE explored how education sector policy and planning can contribute to the prevention of child marriage in conjunction with support from community leaders, civil society, and decision-makers.  The discussions brought to light the importance of a multisectoral approach anchored in local realities, and that also considers cultural and gender norms that perpetuate these practices.  📹 Live event recording: https://bit.ly/4eyqfZN 📖 Read the thematic brief ⤵️
