And the winner is... Last week, the ceremonial presentation of the golden vector award took place in Rotterdam🏆️. Every two years, the vector award honors the most exciting and creative energy chain applications. This year, the golden award went to the terminal operator Cruise Port Rotterdam for the use of the iMSPO (igus Mobile Shore Power Outlet). The mobile shore power system supplies cruise ships with electricity from the shore while in port, allowing them to shut down their diesel generators and significantly reduce emissions. This solution marks a major step toward a greener future in the maritime industry. Due to the uniqueness and creativity of the project, the institute received this award.
