In Toamasina district, Madagascar, families are beginning to rebuild after the latest cyclone caused widespread damage. The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies - IFRC and Croix-Rouge Malagasy are supporting 1,000 affected families with emergency shelter kits and essential household items, helping people repair their homes and start recovering. Despite the devastation, communities are showing incredible resilience by already rebuilding with whatever materials they can find. This response is just the beginning. Through a 7.5 million CHF appeal, the IFRC aims to support 45,000 families across Madagascar in the months ahead. Together with the Malagasy Red Cross, we remain committed to standing with communities as they recover and rebuild.
