CHF 200 million. 50 million people reached by 2030. This is the ambition behind the newly launched IFRC-DREF Strategic Ambition 2026–2030. To make sure more people get help before crises escalates. Humanitarian needs are rising. Funding is tightening. Here’s how IFRC-DREF plans to respond by 2030. In Yemen last year, Red Crescent volunteers acted on forecasts of heavy rainfall, before floods caused greater harm. As one volunteer put it, "early action helps protect people, before the situation becomes a tragedy".  This is the shift at the heart of the strategy: enabling National Societies to act earlier, move faster and stay closer to the people who need them most. The Strategic Ambition sets out a more localised, predictable and accountable IFRC-DREF, designed to strengthen anticipatory action, improve readiness and support National Societies as the first and last line of defence in crises. https://lnkd.in/e8MEHZ7E
