It was great to be part of this year’s Annual Biocontrol Industry Meeting (ABIM) in Basel. A special highlight was our colleague Lorena Halty’s insightful talk, “Overcoming challenges of pheromones testing under simulated use conditions.” These semiochemicals offer environmentally friendly, species-specific alternatives to conventional pesticides — but testing their performance under realistic conditions remains a key challenge.
