In rural Cameroon, where many communities have long lived without reliable electricity, IEEE Smart Village is helping create new opportunities through sustainable energy, education, and entrepreneurship. Through Renewable Energy Innovators Cameroon (REIc), solar-powered microgrids are bringing electricity to villages in the region, supporting schools, powering local businesses, expanding internet access, and helping improve quality of life for thousands of people. What began as a vision to electrify underserved communities is now helping empower future generations through technology and local innovation.
