The future of water security in the MENA region hinges on resilient infrastructure, technological innovation, and integrated water management. IDOM participated in the MENA Dams Conference 2026 in Abu Dhabi, one of the leading regional forums on the role of dams in water security, energy, and climate resilience. The event brought together public administrators, utility companies, developers, and experts to discuss important issues such as water scarcity, flood protection, integrating renewable energy, and adapting to long-term climate change. During the conference, IDOM contributed to technical exchanges in areas such as: • Design of resilient dams • Management of droughts and floods • Smart technologies and digital monitoring • Operation, maintenance, and modernization of infrastructure • Integration into global water management systems • Sustainable financing models, including PPPs   The event also highlighted the region's strong investment momentum in water infrastructure aimed at strengthening water security, national resilience, and sustainable development.   At IDOM, we are committed to providing innovative, collaborative solutions to create more resilient, future-ready water systems.
