#AI can improve clinical care—but only if it works fairly and equitably for the people it serves. 🩺 A collaborative project between HES-SO Valais-Wallis and the Observatoire valaisan de la santé (OVS) evaluated whether #AImodels trained on international datasets remain reliable and relevant for patients in #Valais. After testing on local chest X-rays and CT scans, the team showed that even high-performing models can perform differently across patient groups—and these differences matter for #clinicalcare.
