Recently, former refugee Abdulrazak Gurnah won the #nobelprize2021 in Literature. Abdulrazak Gurneh, who grew up in Zanzibar and arrived in Britain as a refugee in the 1960s. Many of Gurnah's ten novels and numerous short stories have dealt with displacement and the refugee experience. Literature is a powerful form of human expression and, at Ideas Academy, we encourage it greatly. We hope this post will inspire Ideas Academy students for their Reading Week presentation.
