📍Ukraine | Overnight on 1 July 2026, widespread attacks across Kyiv killed at least 30 people and injured scores more. In one of the most devastating nights the city has experienced since the escalation of the armed conflict between Russia and Ukraine, tens of thousands of families again sought safety in underground shelters, enduring hours of fear and uncertainty. As staff and volunteers from the Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) were responding to civilian needs across Kyiv that night, hundreds of thousands of vital URCS humanitarian supplies were lost, including those used in emergency response and medical care. We are working alongside the URCS and other partners from the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement to continue our humanitarian response for the most vulnerable.
