Nexperia chips. IAV system intelligence. One concept to get more performance out of every EV battery cell. At the center of this collaboration is the IAV ONE Inverter concept: an innovative system approach designed to dynamically control and allocate battery modules through software. The idea behind it is simple, but powerful: instead of the entire battery being limited by its weakest cell, each cell can contribute according to its actual condition and individual capabilities. This can help improve battery utilization, increase system robustness and open up new possibilities for future electric vehicle architectures. Nexperia contributes the semiconductor technology required for the concept, while IAV brings in its expertise in battery systems, software and vehicle architectures. Together, both companies are combining chip technology and system-level thinking to explore more resilient and future-ready solutions for electric mobility. Because the future of e-mobility is not only about battery capacity. It is also about the high-voltage architectures – and the partnerships – that determine how intelligently this capacity can be used. "IAV’s strength lies in translating technological innovation into system-level solutions for our customers. Together with Nexperia, we are exploring how software-defined battery architectures can unlock new levels of efficiency, flexibility and resilience for future software-defined vehicles," says Joerg Astalosch, CEO IAV.
