Nuclear techniques for better crops The IAEA and FAO launched a new coordinated research project to help address one of agriculture's biggest challenges - producing more nutritious crops while adapting to climate change. This project uses nuclear and isotopic techniques to better understand how crops absorb and use nutrients.  By identifying how plants absorb and use essential nutrients, they can support more sustainable food production while reducing environmental impacts.
