✨ Industry update: Hikma Pharmaceuticals announces a $267 million expansion across its Ohio facilities, creating 350 new jobs to scale the domestic production of generic medicines. The investment is split between Columbus ($216 million), where oral solid dose and nasal inhalation manufacturing will be expanded, and Bedford ($51 million), where the focus is on sterile injectable capabilities, including aseptic vial filling, lyophilisation, and IV bag production. For Hikma, this is a direct response to growing hospital and health system demand for a reliable domestic supply of sterile generics, and part of a broader $1 billion commitment to U.S. manufacturing.
