Yesterday, we welcomed a diverse group of scientists, clinical and industry representatives to HZDR and ROTOP Pharmaka GmbH as part of the Theranosticum Lausitz kick-off. The visit to Rossendorf campus was initiated by nukliD - Dr. Peggy Jungke, underlining the cluster’s growing reach beyond regional borders. At the Center for Radiopharmaceutical Tumor Research, the group gained first-hand insights into our research infrastructure – from target chemistry in hot cells to radiopharmacology and advanced tumor imaging using PET/CT and SPECT. The visit to ROTOP complemented this with a guided tour along the GMP production lines for SPECT and PET kits, illustrating the crucial link between research, development, and reliable radiopharmaceutical production. There was strong interest from academia and industry, including emerging start-ups, and an active exchange how to advance theranostics together.
