Public cloud is dead. That's the claim from Aaron Ginn, Co-Founder & CEO of Hydra Host, on a recent episode of TBPN. His argument: as AI moves into healthcare, education, and defense, industries that are already nationalized in most countries, data residency and sovereignty stop being a phase and become a permanent infrastructure requirement. No nation wants its most sensitive AI workloads running on a foreign-owned public cloud. Hydra Host's bet is to be the software layer for that shift: turning any data center in the world into a sovereign-ready "Neo Cloud" without owning a single building or GPU. They're already live across dozens of data centers globally, with several billion dollars in signed contracts, including sovereign government customers. Worth the watch to hear why Aaron thinks even Nvidia's own cash flow is backing this thesis.
