The European Commission has recognized our GreenRoot project with VNG AG as a #ProjectOfCommonInterest!   Exactly one year ago, we announced the GreenRoot green hydrogen project in Lutherstadt Wittenberg. With a planned capacity of 500 megawatts, the facility can produce up to 50,000 tons of green hydrogen per year to support decarbonization and provide energy security for industries in Central Germany.    👉 Why does this matter? The PCI status from the EU will help us get support for project development. This is an important building block towards project success, and we will continue to work on the other factors needed for such large-scale projects: 🔹 Pragmatic RFNBO electricity sourcing criteria 🔹 Extension of grid fee exemptions for electrolyzers, as they help balance electricity supplies from renewables; 🔹 Stronger incentives for industries to use green hydrogen and reduce their CO2 footprint.
