🌍 A transatlantic partnership on equal terms Dr Richard Mitten, Director of Study Abroad at Baruch College in New York, is visiting the Hochschule für Wirtschaft und Recht Berlin. Since 2008, the HWR Berlin and Baruch College have been linked by a vibrant university partnership. The discussion with Prof. Dr. Jens Hermsdorf focused on the further development of this partnership. The universities are similar. Both are state-funded institutions in the heart of international cities, both have strong economics departments with prestigious accreditations, and both are characterised by a high degree of cultural and socio-economic diversity amongst their student bodies. These commonalities form the basis of the collaboration: compatible degree programmes, English-language teaching and shared research priorities ensure the cooperation is substantively sound. The results speak for themselves: the exchange programme between HWR Berlin and Baruch College is one of the most dynamic that Baruch College runs worldwide.
