🗣️ Today, we were delighted to host Botond Roska – Director of Science at the Institute of Molecular and Clinical Ophthalmology Basel (IOB), for a seminar introduced by Lodato Simona entitled “Cell types as windows into brain function and treatment”. Prof. Roska shared insights from his research on the cellular organisation of #neuralcircuits, and how specific neuronal cell types can be used to reveal fundamental principles of #brain function, with particular relevance to visual processing and #vision restoration. His work integrates neuroscience, genetics and translational approaches to advance new strategies for treating visual disorders.
