Sustainable materials for the mobility of tomorrow 🌱 At the HÜBNER Group, #sustainability and performance go hand in hand. That is why we continuously develop new material solutions that help shape the future of public transportation. Two recent examples are #EcoTex and #Ecoflex: innovative fabrics designed for different applications, but with a shared focus on performance and sustainability. 🚋 EcoTex was developed for rail applications and incorporates recycled polyamide yarns, including material sourced from discarded fishing nets, as well as alternative cellulose-based raw materials. Compared to conventional fabrics, EcoTex can reduce CO₂ emissions during material production by up to 45%. 🚌 Ecoflex was developed for articulated bus folding bellows. It combines low fire load characteristics with excellent thermal and acoustic insulation properties, while also offering an improved CO₂ footprint and increased design flexibility.
