Reflections from a significant dialogue on the future of higher education. At Lok Bhavan, Mumbai, the Hon’ble Governor of Maharashtra and Chancellor Jishnu Dev Varma convened a meeting with Vice-Chancellors of Cluster Universities to review progress and chart the way forward. The discussion emphasised strengthening national rankings while building on the rich legacy of affiliated institutions to create globally competitive Universities. Key focus areas included the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, expansion of skill-based and innovative programmes, research excellence & meaningful national and international collaborations. Representing HSNC University, Vice Chancellor Col. Dr. Hemlata K. Bagla contributed to this important exchange of ideas focused on shaping future-ready institutions. Aligned with the vision of a Viksit Bharat, Universities were also encouraged to play an active role in social transformation, including student-led participation in initiatives such as the TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.
