Here's something I never thought I'd have to write about: fending off the job-search scammers. Colleagues of mine have had their names, photos, and professional reputations used by scammers to solicit job seekers. The impersonation can be convincing enough that clients don't think to question it, and the real professional only finds out when someone gets suspicious and reaches out to verify. It's happening right here on LinkedIn. To protect my clients and prospects, I've added a page to my website that walks through exactly how I work, what my process looks like from first contact through payment, and what should never happen in a legitimate engagement with me. If you're ever unsure whether you're talking to the Real HRMeg, email me at [email protected] to verify. In short, please know: ➡️ I am ALWAYS your primary point of contact ➡️ I don't do cold outreach or solicitations ➡️ Every communication comes from an hrmeg.com email address ➡️ We always start with a discovery call on Google Meet; you won't get a proposal from me until after we talk ➡️ Your payment is always processed through my client management system's payment link If any of that doesn't match what you're seeing, trust your instincts. Job searching is already hard, and I hate that bad actors are preying on people who are already feeling vulnerable, if not desperate. You deserve to know that the person you're trusting with your career is actually who they say they are.
