A Sydney school received $106.7 million in government grants and parent fees over a decade, and paid its teachers nothing. Redeemer Baptist School in North Parramatta classifies its entire workforce as church volunteers, reporting zero salary expenses. The minimum award wage for an NSW teacher is $7,515 a month. Staff reportedly received around $2,000. Now the Independent Education Union is calling for urgent investigations by the Fair Work Ombudsman, NESA, and the Office of the Children's Guardian.
