School holidays are becoming more than a family finance challenge. They're increasingly affecting workforce participation too. New research from Creditspring found that 56% of UK parents have reduced their hours, taken unpaid leave or turned down work because of school holiday childcare. At the same time, parents estimate school holidays add £1,241 a year to household costs.
