To support promoting engineering careers to the next generation, our Manchester team welcomed Nathaniel on work experience last week. Nathaniel impressed our team with his enthusiasm, proactive work ethic, and curiosity about our manufacturing processes. He immersed himself fully in the production environment, displaying a keen eagerness to understand our products, safety protocols, and assembly workflows. Rather than merely observing, he actively engaged with the engineering & production team, asked insightful questions, and tackled every assigned task with positive energy and careful attention to detail. As hands-on assignments, he learnt how to solder connectors onto cable ends, and service and calibrate sensitive instrumentation. He also observed various tasks, including precision engineering design, building instrumentation, and packaging and shipping procedures. Nathaniel commented: “Overall I would say that this has been a great experience to see how a specialist engineering firm operates.”
