Earlier this year, we spoke to our Design and Engineering Director, Andy, about an exciting new development: for several weeks over the summer, a 40-metre jack-up barge was positioned on the River Thames, adjacent to the Houses of Parliament. This was a vital step in our ground investigations for the Restoration and Renewal Programme, drilling boreholes to gather data on the riverbed’s sedimentary layers. This visible work demonstrates our commitment to thorough preparation for the restoration and renewal of the Houses of Parliament. The visuals in this video only support what is spoken.
