The National Physical Activity and Healthcare Collaborative Group faciliated by Horizons Marc Harris & Sasha Karakusevic brought together brilliant insights from across the system in it's May meeting - and a shared sense that while the challenges are big, so is the opportunity. Here’s a quick round-up of May's collaborative meeting 👇 🔍 Chris Wright from the Youth Sport Trust shared a stark but important picture from the Class of 2035 report: 🔵 Children are moving less, playing less, and spending less time outdoors 🔵 Early years physical development is being overlooked 🔵 We risk going backwards in public health if we don’t act 👉 The call: act earlier, act collectively, and rethink how we embed movement into everyday life 🔗 Check out the full report: https://lnkd.in/e3-HvaMX ⭐ Rob McLean from London Sport brought system insight from the Moving Together work from their “Fit For the Future” event: 🔵 Partnerships are essential but need to be structurally enabled 🔵 Data is inconsistent, limiting impact and investment 🔵 Workforce confidence and clarity on “prevention” are key gaps 👉 The focus: better alignment, clearer frameworks, and stronger connections 🔗 https://lnkd.in/en9-q7X4 🤝 The Active WellBeing Leadership Network is hosting their conference on the 22nd & 23rd June 2026. They’re seeking a range of best practice and exemplar work to be shared at the conference, showing how active wellbeing is being delivered in practice through leadership, partnership and innovation. Health, education, communities and policy all have a role to play - and need to move together. 2. We don’t need more pilots - we need better connection and scale. There is brilliant work happening. It just needs joining up. 3. We must act earlier - especially in childhood. If we get the early years right, we can change lifelong health trajectories. Thank you to all our members for a session that brought knowledge, inspiration and sparked such rich discussion 🎇 #PhysicalActivity #Prevention #ChildHealth #Collaboration #HealthInequalities #NHSHorizons #Movement #NHS #HealthAndCare
