【HKBU research excellence recognised in competitive UGC schemes 🎯】    Another strong year for HKBU research! A total of 95 scholars have received approximately HK$69 million in support from three competitive University Grants Committee (UGC) funding schemes this year, reflecting the breadth and strength of research across six faculties and schools. The number of awarded projects from the General Research Fund and Early Career Scheme rose by more than 45% to 95, while the total amount of funding grew by a quarter.      Professor Angelo Lo Conte, Associate Professor at HKBU’s Academy of Visual Arts, has been awarded the Humanities and Social Sciences Prestigious Fellowship Scheme for his project “Deaf Painters in the Renaissance” — a prestigious recognition that offers no more than ten fellowships each year.      Professor Lyu Aiping, Vice-President (Research and Development) and Dean of the Graduate School, congratulated the researchers and said: “With projects spanning health science, business and the creative arts, this year’s results are a powerful reflection of our interdisciplinary approach and our four-cluster research strategy.” 【浸大研究彰顯實力  獲教資會資助計劃認可🎯】    浸大研究再傳喜訊!今年,來自六個學院共95位學者的研究項目,在大學教育資助委員會(教資會)競爭激烈的三大資助計劃中榮獲資助,總額高達約6,900萬港元,展現大學多元而深厚的研究實力。    在「優配研究金」(GRF)與「傑出青年學者計劃」(ECS)中,獲批的項目數量上升超過45%,增至95項;資助總額亦錄得四分之一的增長。    浸大視覺藝術院副教授Angelo Lo Conte教授憑藉其研究項目「Deaf Painters in the Renaissance」,獲「人文學及社會科學傑出學者計劃」(HSSPFS)資助,成為今年全港獲此殊榮的十位學者之一。     浸大副校長(研究及拓展)暨研究院院長呂愛平教授向獲資助學者致以祝賀,並表示:「今年獲資助的項目橫跨健康科學、商業及創意藝術等領域,完美體現了浸大對跨學科研究的堅持及『四大研究領域』戰略的成果。」    Read full article|閱讀全文: https://shorturl.at/r0XXD    University Grants Committee (Hong Kong) HKBU Research #HKBU #香港浸會大學 #浸大70周年 #research #researchfund
