What gives you hope about the state of #WomensHealth? That’s what we asked attendees at this year's launch of the Hologic Global Women’s Health Index. After years of stagnation, and some setbacks, the Index shows signs of progress: preventive care for women improved overall compared with the previous report. Approximately 70 million more women received potentially life-saving tests, with slight increases in reported testing for high blood pressure, cancer and diabetes. But the data also show how much work remains. Testing for STIs did not improve, and 54% of women — approximately 1.5 billion globally — reported not being tested for any of these conditions. Thank you to Haleema Hasan, Kate Balcerzak, Elvina Nawaguna, Joy D. Calloway and everyone who joined us for this important conversation. With better data and greater alignment, we can continue to help advance women’s health globally.
