Holmesglen Institute’s $2 million Applied Research and Innovation (ARI) Project* is giving Victorian TAFEs the opportunity to provide vital evidence-based solutions to challenges across the care economy. Funded by the Victorian Government, the projects will support a healthcare and social assistance industry workforce, which is anticipated to grow by over 40 per cent in the next 10 years. As part of the announcement, four TAFEs, including Holmesglen, will undertake respective, collaborative applied research projects across various care economy areas. Holmesglen’s project focuses on redesigning workforce models at St Vincent’s Private Hospital. It will: 🔵 Expand the role of Enrolled Nurses so they can work to their full scope 🔵 Ease pressure on Registered Nurses 🔵 Improve patient outcomes 🔵 Support a more sustainable nursing workforce *Holmesglen facilitates the Applied Research Project as a non-voting Chair only and provides project administration.
