Jetty Road, east of Moseley Street, is on track to reopen to traffic on Friday 19 December 2025 – and this includes returning on-street car parking along Jetty Road and Moseley Street. Almost all temporary fencing will be removed from the footpaths and roadway, as the construction footprint significantly reduces in size. All traffic will be able to access Jetty Road, to and from Moseley Street and all other side streets. Buses that were temporarily diverted along High Street will return to servicing Jetty Road. In good news for pedestrians, all footpaths on Jetty Road, from Moseley Square to Sussex Street, are on track to be completed by 19 December 2025. Traffic lights have been installed at the Jetty Road / Moseley Street intersection, providing pedestrians and vehicles with designated crossing times at one of the busiest intersections in the precinct. The programming and sequencing of the traffic lights will occur early next year, ready for the reopening of Colley Terrace to traffic in March 2026. Increased pedestrian safety and accessibility were key outcomes from the Transforming Jetty Road community consultation held earlier this year. While the Jetty Road / Colley Terrace corner remains under construction until March 2026, the Transforming Jetty Road Glenelg project team is finalising plans to activate the space over the Christmas and New Year period, with additional outdoor dining and public space. Stay tuned for more information. Visitors driving to Jetty Road will benefit from extended on-street parking times from Monday 1 December 2025. All free 1-hour and 2-hour on-street parking spaces throughout the Jetty Road Glenelg precinct will be extended to 3-hours free parking, until the end of January 2026. The Partridge Street East car park will also offer all-day free parking until the end of January 2026. The Transforming Jetty Road Glenelg project will transform the precinct into a modern, safe, vibrant and accessible destination for all who live here and visit and is due to be completed in the second half of 2026. https://lnkd.in/gmBJhg9m #JettyRoadGlenelg
