Latin America is the second most urbanized region in the world, with over 80% of its population living in cities. Addressing this rapid urban growth requires innovative approaches to housing — and Ecuador’s Mundo Ambiensa is a powerful example of what can be achieved through strong partnerships and shared ambition. At Holcim, we are tackling this challenge with sustainable and scalable solutions. During his visit to Ecuador, our CEO Miljan Gutovic saw firsthand the impact of Mundo Ambiensa in Guayaquil, developed by our partner Ambiensa. It is the largest affordable housing project in Latin America that is using our low-carbon ECOPact concrete to sustainably build homes for 180,000 people.
