England and Argentina are battling it out for a place in the final, and once more we’re pitting two of our stellar Building Icons head to head. 🤝 As the leading partner for sustainable construction, we’re proud to present two outstanding projects from two incredible Holcim teams: Holcim UK and Holcim Argentina. 🏛️ Gasholders in London, England: A fairytale comeback story, this iconic heritage redevelopment is turning out for England’s first team. Three historic gas holders were transformed into 145 modern homes. Featuring Ductal UHPC panels, the project preserves London’s industrial legacy, while delivering a striking example of sustainable design. 💧 Aña Cuá Dam, Argentina: This major hydroelectric infrastructure project will keep Argentina running all night as it powers the nation’s sustainable future. Built with ECOPact low-carbon concrete, it extends the Yacyretá Hydroelectric Dam, reducing emissions and supporting the generation of clean, renewable energy. Which Building Icon gets your vote?
